Through "A Cyclist's Commute" I  hope to simulate the experience of biking to class everyday, albeit much more simplified. Players can use WASD to accelerate their bike and maneuver through NYC's hostile traffic environment. To get the most out of this game, I would highly suggest tapping on W, A, and D instead of holding them down for movement. The wheel colliders on the bike get a bit out of control if you just press on the directional keys for a long period of time.

I've always enjoyed the act of commuting, and in the past year I've been consistently riding my bike in NYC. Biking has become the most comfortable way for me to move around the city, as it gives me a high sense of autonomy. Gone are the days of missing subways and waiting for buses. I can get from point A to point B on my own terms! However, biking in the city can also be quite stressful. I've had a few close calls hitting pedestrians and cars in the past months, and I hope that this game can emulate both the rush and distress cycling offers.

The hardest part about developing this game was probably trying to simplify the traffic. I had to go through a ton of iterations on how the game handled spawning and deleting cars. On top of that, since there are so many prefabs spawning at once the game hit some performance issues.  To try to fix this, I tried my best in deleting unnecessary decorations and buildings that the player would barely notice as they blast through the city.
